What Nomi is

Nomi is an entertainment product. Every character is fictional and every reply is generated by an AI model. Nobody on the other side is a real person, and a character will tell you so if you ask directly.

Characters are written to have opinions and to disagree with you. That is the point of the product, not a malfunction.

Who may use it

You must be 18 or older, and you must be legally able to enter into this agreement where you live.

Not advice

Nothing a character says is professional advice. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, no matter how confident it sounds or what the character does for a living in their fictional life.

If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line. An AI companion is not a substitute for a real person who can help.

Generated content

Model output can be wrong, inconsistent, or occasionally inappropriate despite the safeguards in place. Please use judgement, and report anything that looks seriously wrong.

What you agree not to do

Do not use Nomi for anything illegal, do not attempt to generate sexual content involving minors, and do not use it to harass, threaten or impersonate real people.

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or scrape the service, and do not resell access to it.

Your content

What you write stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service — to store your messages and pass them to our model provider so a reply can come back.

Our content

The characters, their writing, their photographs and the app itself belong to us. Please do not redistribute them as your own.

Availability

The service is provided as-is. It is in active development, features may change, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings, which erases your data permanently. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
