What Nomi collects, what it never collects, and how to make it all go away.
Last updated: 16 August 2026
What we collect
An account identifier. When you sign in with Apple we store the opaque identifier Apple gives us. We do not receive your Apple ID password, and if you choose to hide your email we never see the real one.
Your conversations. The messages you send and the replies you receive are stored so the conversation still exists the next time you open the app.
A small amount of technical data needed to run the service: request timestamps, error codes, and token counts for capacity planning.
What we never collect
We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, calendar, microphone or camera. The app never asks for those permissions.
We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not embed third-party trackers, and we do not sell or rent anything to anyone.
How your messages are used
To produce a reply, the text of your recent messages in that conversation is sent to our model provider, MiniMax, together with the character definition. This is the only purpose it is sent for.
Your conversations are not used to train models — not ours, not anyone else’s.
We do not read your conversations. Access is limited to what is technically required to operate the service, and message bodies are deliberately kept out of our logs.
Who can see your data
Your conversations belong to your account and are not visible to other users.
Two processors are involved: MiniMax, which generates replies, and Cloudflare, which serves images and video and carries traffic to our server.
How long we keep it
Conversations are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Operational logs are short-lived and contain no message content.
Deleting everything
Settings → Delete account removes your account, every conversation and every message. It is immediate and it is permanent — we cannot restore it afterwards, and signing in again creates a brand new, empty account.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Deletion is built into the app; for anything else, write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Nomi is for adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date above always reflects the current version.
